Stabbed, slashed, hit and burned girlfriend
Fakrul had committed the offences between May 22 and 23, 2023.
The Klang High Court heard that Anisah was found with stab and slash wounds to the palms and abdomen, along with a torn abdomen which exposed her internal organs.
Judge Norazlin Othman said that Fakrul had hit Anisah on the head with a stick before dragging her to a nearby drain to stab her, reported Bernama.
He had also slashed her neck.
According to Malay Mail, Fakrul had also cut her abdomen open to remove the foetus, and later doused her body with petrol before burning her in a plantation.
Crime was "premeditated", "sadistic" and "cruel": Judge
Fakrul had pleaded guilty to the offence.
112 exhibits from the case were presented to the judge, including an ultrasound image of the 18-week-old foetus and the objects used to hurt Anisah.
In her judgment, Norazlin said that he had intended to kill her and that his crime "should be a lesson to all".
She described Fakrul's acts as "premeditated", "sadistic" and "cruel", adding that what he did also claimed the life of an unborn baby.
According to his defence lawyer, who initially argued for a prison sentence, Fakrul was reportedly being made a "scapegoat" and pressured into taking responsibility for the child.
DNA tests had earlier revealed that he did not father the child, reported Bernama.
